Personal Meditation Space
CIEL means heaven or sky in French. This personal meditation space is located on a white-sand beach near a resort in Tahiti. Its white exterior compliments the color of the sand, sea-foam and clouds. With its smooth, concrete walls and sheer, white drapery, the shaded interior creates an instant escape for the world-weary visitor. Water from the wall fountain trickles down into a row of candles, evoking a sense of serenity and intimacy. Sensing the cool stones press upon bare feet, the pilgrim humbly enters in. The sunlight that filters through the openings in the ceiling invokes the time shifts and the absence of time and space.
